North Bristol RFC is delighted to announce it will be supporting the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAA) going forward as part of its wider club strategy and aim to work more closely within our local community.
We are super excited about how we can support this hugely worthwhile charitable cause as a club.
To get the ball rolling we ran a competition to design a change strip for the club, which the winning design from Ang Sheppard focuses around the GWAA helicopter, which can often been seen flying over the club from the other side of the A38. A percentage of the sales from this top, which can be purchased from the club shop, will go towards the GWAA.

Tom Mahoney Awards - Club of the Year 2022/23
North Bristol RFC was recently awarded the Tom Mahoney award from the Bristol Bears for being the Combination Club of the year for 2022/23. Pictured is Rob Evans (NBRFC Life Member collecting the award)
This is the second time the club has won this award, after previously winning it in 2003/04 when Club Chair Steve Bold was still playing and captaining the Men's 1st XV.
This award is fantastic recognition for an outstanding and historic season for the club just gone. Both the Men's 1st XV and 2nd XV went undefeated in their respective leagues finishing top. The Men's 1st XV also went on to win the national cup competition at Twickenham stadium in front of hundreds of travelling NBRFC supporters.
In addition to this, our Ladies team cemented their position in a highly competitive and strong standard of rugby as they continue to grow from strength to strength each and every year.
The Walking Rugby team is continually expanding and competing in festivals on a regular basis, as well as routinely hosting our very own festival with huge numbers of people taking part.
Our Mini's and Junior section continue to excel and thrive with teams across all age ranges doing exceptionally well. Many of the older junior teams had great success in the cup competitions and secured strong league finishes. A high number of NBRFC junior players represented their County, Bristol Bears and in some instances their Country also last season.
Future generations of North Bristol RFC players continue to have fun, develop their skills and love for the game within the Minis, with lots of former players returning to the club to help coach and bring on the future generation.
This award is fantastic recognition for all the wonderful things happening out on the pitches at Oaklands, but also for all the hard working volunteers who work tirelessly in the background to help the club to continually grow and build.

The Muldoon Trophy 2023
Once again, it was fantastic to see so many people turning out to play in the Reg Muldoon Trophy at Bristol Golf Club.
This was the second year the tournament was held in memory of North Bristol RFC Life Member Reg Muldoon, who we sadly lost in November 2021. A great day was had with many old and young faces dusting off their golf clubs to enjoy the Bristol sunshine and later returning back to Oaklands, where many more joined them for a great social occasion. Many Thanks to Chris Bold for pulling the day together which was a huge success all round. We look forward to welcoming even more people to take part in the Muldoon Trophy next year on the 6th September 2024. |

WE WANT YOU!
We are very fortunate to have a fantastic number of volunteers who give up their time to utilise their existing skills to help us continually improve in all areas and aspects of the club.
However, we are always on the look out for more people to help the club grow even further by offering their time and skills which is always greatly appreciated.
If you think you can help and are keen to get involved, please have a chat with the Club Chair (Steve Bold) or Minis & Junior Chair (Steve Cumberpatch)

Silverback Sport
We are ecstatic to be working with Silverback Sport who will be ensuring that everyone will be looking great in the new range of playing kit, leisure wear and accessories.
Silverback will be looking to set up a club shop on their website to allow anyone to order direct from them in the future. But in the mean time there will be upcoming opportunities to try some sample garments on for size at the Club prior to placing orders.
Additional information is provided below and further details / information are to follow.
