North Bristol RFC ❤️ Bold Hearts💙 All Inclusive Rugby (AIR)

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about North Bristol Bold Hearts.

North Bristol Bold Hearts is a brand-new all-inclusive rugby team created specifically for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), launching on 7th September 2026. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the friendship, confidence and sense of belonging that sport can provide, regardless of the challenges they face.

Many of our players are autistic or have ADHD, learning disabilities, physical disabilities or other additional needs. For many families, mainstream sport simply isn't accessible. Bold Hearts exists to remove those barriers by providing a safe, understanding and inclusive environment where every player is supported to participate, develop and thrive at their own pace.

There are over 6,600 children and young people with identified SEND in South Gloucestershire alone, yet opportunities to take part in inclusive team sports remain limited. Bold Hearts is helping to change that.

The name Bold Hearts was chosen in memory of our much-loved Chairman, Steve "Boldy" Bold, a truly inspiring man whose passion for rugby, community and bringing people together touched so many lives. His belief that rugby should be a place for everyone continues to inspire everything we do, and we are proud to honour his legacy by creating opportunities for children and young people with SEND to thrive.

Our sessions are about far more than rugby. We help our players build confidence, improve communication skills, develop independence, make lasting friendships and support their physical and mental wellbeing. Just as importantly, we provide a welcoming community for parents, carers and siblings who often struggle to find activities where the whole family feels accepted.

As part of North Bristol RFC, Bold Hearts strengthens our vision of One Club. Everyone Welcome. It enables more children and families to become part of our rugby community while creating opportunities that extend far beyond the pitch.

As we prepare for our official launch on 7th September 2026, we are looking for a small number of Founding Sponsors who want to help shape this exciting new initiative from the very beginning.

Your support would help us provide specialist and adaptive equipment, SEND coach education, volunteer training, accessible resources, transport to inclusive festivals and competitions, and a gazebo to protect our players, volunteers and families during training sessions, festivals and community events. As our team grows, your investment will help us continue creating new opportunities for children and young people with SEND to participate, develop and thrive within our rugby community.

In return, we would be delighted to recognise your support. Depending on the level of partnership, opportunities may include:
  • Prominent branding on our playing and training kit.
  • Your company logo displayed on our gazebo, banners and event equipment.
  • Recognition across our website, social media and promotional materials.
  • Visibility at inclusive rugby festivals, community events and activities.
  • Association with a project that demonstrates a genuine commitment to inclusion, equality and supporting children and young people with SEND.

More importantly, we hope you'll become much more than a sponsor. We want you to be part of the Bold Hearts family—a Founding Sponsor who can genuinely see the difference their support makes to the lives of children and young people with SEND, their families and our wider local community.

We would be delighted to discuss how we can tailor a partnership that benefits both your organisation and the families we support.
Thank you for considering becoming part of the Bold Hearts journey. Together, we can ensure that every child, regardless of ability or diagnosis, has the opportunity to belong, participate and thrive.

Kind regards,

Steve Chappell and Maisy McQuaid
